New BYU Arts Building

Post-Construction Cleanup · Provo, UT · for Big-D Construction

The New BYU Arts Building in Provo is a large, multi-space performing arts complex — a full proscenium theater with tiered balcony seating, a black box theater, a cinema-style screening room, an art gallery, rehearsal rooms, classrooms, and the backstage, catwalk, and mechanical spaces that support all of it.

Big-D Construction, the general contractor on the project, brought EBM in to handle the final post-construction cleanup across the entire building ahead of turnover — every space, from the audience-facing theater and gallery down to the catwalks, rigging walkways, and back-of-house storage corridors most visitors never see.

Post-construction cleanup on a building like this isn’t one job repeated room to room. A theater with velvet seating wrapped in protective film needs a different approach than a scene shop floor, a cinema screening room, or a steel catwalk three stories above the stage. We planned and staffed the cleanup around each space individually, working the same checklist-driven process we use on every job so nothing — a railing, a light fixture, a row of seats — got skipped on a building this size.
