This policy covers electusbm.com and EBM Ops, our internal operations app used by EBM Cleaning Services (Electus Building Management, "EBM," "we," "us") employees. EBM Ops is internal business software for our own staff — it is not a consumer product and is not publicly available.
This Website
The only personal information collected on electusbm.com is what you submit through our contact form (name, email, phone number, and your message), which is delivered to us via Formspree. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry. This site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and does not sell or share your information with third parties.
EBM Ops (Internal Operations App)
EBM Ops helps our field staff manage cleaning jobs: viewing assigned properties, completing checklists, clocking in and out, and reporting issues. Because it's used to confirm on-site work at client properties, it collects more than a typical app. Here's exactly what, and why:
Information we collect
- Employee account information — name, phone number or email address (whichever you sign in with), job role, and position. Used to identify you, assign you to jobs, and control what you can access in the app.
- Location data — GPS coordinates captured only when you clock in or out of a scheduled job. This confirms you were at the property being serviced. We do not track location in the background or at any other time.
- Photos — photos you take while completing a checklist or reporting an issue, used to document completed work and support quality control.
- Push notification token — a device identifier used only to deliver job-assignment, schedule-change, and issue alerts to your device.
How this information is used
Solely to run our cleaning operations: assigning and tracking jobs, confirming work was completed at the correct location, maintaining a photo record of completed work, and notifying staff of schedule changes or issues. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties, other than the infrastructure providers below.
Who can see it
Access is role-based. Field staff (cleaners) see their own assigned jobs and clock records. Supervisors see data for the properties assigned to them. Owners/administrators and operations managers have full access. Client-facing data (like an individual employee's pay rate) is restricted even further, to owners/administrators only.
Where it's stored
EBM Ops runs on Google Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Authentication) and uses Expo's push notification service to deliver alerts. These providers store and process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments; we do not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or data-broker services in this app.
Data retention and deletion
We retain employee and job records for as long as needed for business and legal purposes (e.g. employment records, service history). Current or former employees can request deletion or a copy of their data by contacting us at office@electusbm.com.
Children's privacy
EBM Ops is internal software for our employees and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.
Changes to This Policy
If our data practices change, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
