Who Is EBM Cleaning Services?
EBM Cleaning Services is a Utah-based commercial cleaning company serving businesses across the state — from offices and medical facilities to gyms, warehouses, schools, and a dozen other industry verticals. We’ve been in the industry for nearly two decades, and this post is a straightforward answer to a question new clients sometimes ask: who is EBM, and how do we actually work?
Where the Name Comes From
EBM Cleaning Services was previously known as Electus Building Management — “Electus” is Latin for “chosen.” We’ve since moved to a name that says more plainly what we do, but the company behind it hasn’t changed: the same Utah-based team, the same nearly-20-year history in commercial cleaning.
What We Do
Our work falls into a few core categories:
- Commercial Cleaning: Ongoing cleaning for offices, retail spaces, medical facilities, and other commercial properties — tailored to the specific demands of each industry rather than a single generic routine.
- Janitorial Services: Recurring daily, weekly, or monthly cleaning that keeps a space consistently maintained, not just cleaned once and left to slide.
- Post-Construction Clean-Up: Turning a finished build site into an occupancy-ready space — dust, debris, and residue removal after construction or renovation.

How We Work
A few things shape how every job runs, regardless of the type of space:
- Locally owned and operated. We’re not a national franchise — this is a Utah company serving Utah businesses.
- Licensed & insured, background-checked staff. Every technician is vetted before they set foot on your property.
- The right product for the job. We choose whatever gets the best result for the surface and situation — including eco-friendly, EPA-registered options when they’re the right fit, not as a blanket policy.
- Our own checklist app. Every job runs against a scoped checklist, from the first walkthrough to sign-off — how we keep coverage consistent visit to visit instead of relying on memory.
- Under 12-hour issue resolution. If something isn’t right, we hear about it and fix it fast, not at the next scheduled visit.
